Job 26:5-14 (KJB)
(5) Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
(6) Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.
(7) He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
(8) He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
(9) He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.
(10) He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
(11) The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
(12) He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.
(13) By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.
(14) Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
Notice in Verse 7, the King James Bible says, "He stretcheth out the NORTH, over the empty place." Where is the NORTH? It is straight up in the 3rd heaven, where God dwells., It is not the North Pole.
Psa 75:6-7 (KJB)
(6) For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
(7) But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
Did you see how "north" was replaced with "God"? That is because God dwells in the 3rd heaven, and it is straight up north past the 1st and 2nd heavens, up above the sea (the deep) that the face of it is frozen (Job 38:30). This sea, which is the waters up above the the firmament are mentioned in Verses 10-12. In verse 10, the Bible says that "He compassed the waters with bounds. That is that these waters are held up by the firmament (FIRM). (Gen. 1:6-8)
The proud in Vs. 12 are the fallen angels, who are under Satan, the sons of God.
Gen 6:1-2 (KJB)
(1) And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
(2) That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Job 1:6-7 (KJB)
(6) Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
(7) And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
Job 41:34 (KJB)
(34) He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.
Vs. 34 is talking about Leviathan, which is a reference to Satan. So, Satan is the king over all the children of pride.
In (Job 26:13), the Bible mentions a "crooked serpent". With the #13 being the number of rebellion, and 13 X 2 equaling 26, this is a reference to Satan. Remember when Lucifer rebelled against God?
Isa 14:12-14 (KJB)
(12) How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
(13) For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
(14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Here are a few more cross references showing the serpent being Satan:
Genesis 3:1
Rev. 20:2
The Lord Jesus Christ, at his 2nd advent, will divide the sea, where the crooked serpent is at, and will smite through the proud.
